The aim of this article is to analyze selected aspects the theory sustainable development as a potentially new paradigm in economic theory. paper presents concept economics context scientific revolutions developed by Thomas Khun. study focuses on such issues externalities and functioning economy macrosystem, including society environment. Their inclusion has allowed assessment fundamental voluntary nature transactions or social effects running business from different perspective.
